We have settled into a new RV Campground near Punta Gorda FL for a month and this has given us a chance to golf, kayak, hike, airboat, tour monuments and state parks, learn new games with neighbors and dine by the bay.
Southern Sands RV Resort is a new and comfortable campground near Peace River, with wonderful neighbors from US and Canada. We learned a great Swedish yard game called Kubb from our Minnesota neighbor, we are hooked.
Golf: We found two golf courses near by that we have enjoyed at a reasonable price. Paradise Golf and Maple Leaf Country Club.
Fun Water sports: Enjoyed an Airboat ride searching for gators and kayaked around Pine Island finding hidden shipwrecked boats from previous storms.
Dining: Fisherman’s Village in Punta Gorda is a wonderful dining area on the water with several restaurants and shops, highly recommend – Village Brewhouse and Pier FV.
