Making our way from Mount Rainier to Spokane, we requested a stay Harvest Host Elk Heights Distillery.
As this was a Monday, their operation was closed but Master distiller Eric gave us a private eight sample tasting and tour of the facility. He is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
We acquired the premier bourbon and a tasty rum for our journeys.
He pointed us to a location in their parking lot to be able to hookup to 120v electrical, allowing us to run the air-conditioner for the first time since the Nevada desert. It was 95 degrees, but cooled off quickly by 10pm. We were the only guests at this popular location, just before the rodeo came to town.
With a stop at Pilot, Corky’s favorite, we fueled for the truck and morning coffee and tea. Clean restrooms as well!
Onto Spokane…
