“Sell, giveaway and eliminate as much as possible”, that is our current mode. We are only storing the things that bring us joy for the next chapters of our life. We are making our Gap Year Adventure as light as possible without the anchors of stuff.
We utilized companies like “Junkman” or “1-800 Got Junk” to help clear out old or unusable items.
ARC, Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity will take slightly used items: clothes, small appliances, dishes etc.
We tried Facebook Market Place, Craigs List, and Next Door as examples of online marketplaces to help sell furniture, china, paintings – to sell anything that is just filling up space that we no longer use.
